Wajir MCAs file motion to remove governor Mohamed Abdi

The motion mover Benane ward MCA Abdi Mohamed Sheikh forwaded the notice of motion to assembly the clerk for perusal.

Mohamed Abdi was accused of presiding over corruption.  The motion mover Benane ward MCA Abdi Mohamed Sheikh called on the clerk Shalle Sheikh Mursal to expedite the impeachment process. “Kindly find attached notices of motion regarding the impeachment of Governor Mohamed Abdi Mohamud for onward transmission and approval by the speaker. We, therefore, seek the support of the people of Wajir as we execute our mandate,” he said in a notice. The wrangles between the county boss and a section of MCAs attracted attention of the elders and the local political leadership whose attempts to broker a deal failed.
