Ethiopian PM announces end of 3-day deadline given for Tigray Special Force, militia to surrender

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2020 (FBC) –

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said the three-day deadline given for the Tigray Special Forces and militia to surrender to the national defence forces ended today.

In a message conveyed in Tigrigna language three days ago, he called on the Special Forces and militia to save themselves and the people from the greedy TPLF Junta.

The call for the Tigray Special Forces and militia to save themselves and the people, rather than becoming a means for TPLF’s evil goal has come to an end, the Prime Minister said on a Facebook post this morning.

Following the expiration of the 72 hours deadline, final and decisive law enforcement operations will be taken in the coming days, he indicated.

The Prime Minister also extended his gratitude to those who took advantage of the call for their responsible decision to surrender to the defence forces and save their people.
