Ambassador Fitsum: U.S. pressure unjust, unacceptable

Addis Ababa, May 25, 2021 (FBC)

The recent resolution the U.S. Senate issued about Ethiopia undermines Ethiopian government’s commitment to sustain the sovereignty and peace of the country and it is categorically unjust and unacceptable, Ethiopian Ambassador to the United States Fitsum Arega said.

In his opening remarks at a webinar meeting hosted by Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Ambassador Fitsum stated that the Embassy has been partnered with the Diaspora community to resist the unjustified pressure of the U. S. government and other interest groups.

According to EPA, the Embassy has also been working with the Diaspora community in a unified and integrated manner more than ever whilst underscored that Ethiopia never accepts external pressure and intervention on its domestic affairs.
