Locally Assembled Electric Car Unveils In Ethiopia

Ethiopia has unveiled the first electric vehicle which is fabricated in the country despite experiencing power outages. It is the second country in Africa to do so besides South Africa.

World’s renowned athlete Haile Gebrselassie has presented the first electrical car fully assembled by Hyundai Motors in Ethiopia to PM Abiy Ahmed today.

PM Abiy Ahmed said electric car gift has come at a time when the government is working to transform the country’s greening and climate resilient aspirations to concrete actions through the Green Legacy Initiative.

“I received the first electric car fully set up in Ethiopia. No emission cars can help reduce pollution.” tweeted the Ethiopian PM.
