Addis Ababa (SD) – Ethiopia’s health minister Dr. Liya Taadhase confirmed that 49 health professionals and 16 support workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 while at working.
Dr. Liya said that in May alone, more than a thousand people have been diagnosed with the disease, a reflection of the spread of the disease in society.
She called on professionals and the community to increase caution, in order to prevent further spread of the virus in the country.
Ethiopia is one of the horn of African countries that’s struggling with the control of the virus.
